When you think of Halloween, you probably think of ghouls, goblins, monsters, and the like. But while your chances of running into a werewolf or a vampire in Gatlinburg on Halloween night are pretty slim, there is one way you can guarantee yourself a supernatural experience: by experiencing the wonder of Bill Gladwell, one of the nation’s most mind-blowing mentalists, by seeing his special Halloween show: Shrieks and Mind Freaks, which will be at the Arcadia Theater  now through Halloween night.

Hailed as one of the greatest shows in Gatlinburg, Bill Gladwell has made a name for himself with his incredible mental abilities for over twenty years. With two different performance shows, he demonstrates his various abilities. In Head Case, Gladwell shows his skills as a hypnotist combined with suggestion, psychology, and his trademark showmanship to deliver a sophisticated and thought-provoking performance. He’ll predict what audience members will say before they say it, and even pull thoughts directly from their mind.

In Hypnotized, Gladwell uses actual audience volunteers – not paid performers, not audience plants – to deliver a hilarious and fascinating show. By convincing audience members that they’re movie stars or weight lifters in a competition, the family-friendly laughs never stop, and neither does the sense of wonder and amazement.

With such a reputation already built by these two different shows, who knows what’s in store for the special Halloween show? Hypnotism? Mind-reading? Or something even more astounding? With the details top-secret and no way of predicting what will happen, it is truly going to be a surprise. There is one guarantee, however: coming from a performer and a professional like Bill Gladwell, it is sure to be nothing less than phenomenal. The only way to find out is to be there at Shrieks and Mind Freaks in Gatlinburg!

Any season is the perfect season for getting married in the Smoky Mountains, but autumn and Thanksgiving are prime seasons of beauty. During the transition to autumn, every leaf becomes a flower. During Thanksgiving, most of the brightest fall leaves are on the forest floor, but the mountains come alive with fireside fun and wilderness surroundings.

Many resorts have warm and welcoming rustic wedding chapels on site. The wedding scenes below are from Mountain Valley Wedding Chapel.

The autumn wedding scene with the horse is a specialized image from Honeysuckle Hills, a wedding venue which offers unique wilderness photography and a rustic wedding barn that brides love.

Brides and grooms like the idea of renting a large log cabin for everyone. The stone fireplaces and large gathering spaces can be enjoyed by all. Thinking of hearthside wedding vows with only the closest family and friends? Cabin Weddings of the Smokies will come to your cabin to perform your wedding service. The fireplace room scene (below right) is a privately owned luxury home for rent in the Smoky Mountains entitled “Million Dollar View.”

A Thanksgiving wedding is a terrific time to surround yourself with people you love. Whether your wedding is large or small, formal or casual, it is a great time of year to surround yourself with people who share your excitement. These are the people who can help you focus on the joys the day.

It is important to remember to thank everyone who contributes to your Thanksgiving wedding. It is customary for the bride and the groom-to-be to show their gratitude to all of the people who make their wedding day special. Crafting personalized treats and goodie bags is a great idea. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are loaded with world-class candy makers and fudge shops. Everyone in your wedding party enjoys being "treated" special.

Spa services from Smoky Mountain Salon & Spa can also be a wonderful treat. They can also provide you with special wedding day hair styles and fingernails. What a great way to show your gratitude to your Maid of Honor.

Plan a Thanksgiving wedding that taps into your love for hearth and home. Choose from several mountain chalets that are equipped with wonderful gourmet kitchens. Check out this dining room scene from the luxury rental home entitled “Wolfsong Lodge.”

When it comes to the Thanksgiving feast, pie rules the day...pumpkin, sweet potato, apple, pecan, rhubarb...the list goes on and on. A beautiful wedding cake is a must, but also consider adding Thanksgiving pies to your wedding dessert selection.

Laughing until we had tears. I’ve never seen anything like the look on my kids’ faces when we drove down the Parkway past Pigeon Forge attractions. Our hotel was so vibrant and the staff was upbeat and helpful. Pigeon Forge is the brightest spot in the Smoky Mountains. The high energy (and clean language) shows we saw in theaters had everyone in my family clapping their hands…even “sour” Uncle George.
