Participants will line up at 11:50 pm on August 4 and the race will start at midnight.   The course is flat and fast and this year’s event will be the State Championship 8K for Tennessee.
This is the 2nd year for the race since it’s revival in 2010.  This race has been a very popular event since 1981 when David Morris and several members of the Smoky Mountain Striders started the race.  Morris and Co-Directors managed the race for 15 years before turning the race over to the Pigeon Forge Police and High School.  After a few years, the race was cancelled and has not been held for about 7 years.

The Holiday Inn Hotel and Convention Center will serve as the Official Headquarters and hotel for the event.  Pre-race staging will take place in the parking lot at the Sevier County Bank on the Parkway.  Post race and awards ceremony will take place in the Holiday Inn Hotel and Convention Center.

The Knoxville Track Club is among the top ten largest track and field clubs in the U.S. The club encourages life-long physical well-being through running and walking. This year the Pigeon Forge Midnight 8K is a State Championship race for the 8K distance. We would like to welcome all the runners who will be competing for the championship title as well as those runners and walkers who will be participating for fun. Pigeon Forge Mountain Music
STRINGTIME | No matter where you go in Pigeon Forge, mountain music fills the air...from performers on stage to breakout jam sessions where everyone gets into the act. Make plans to attend a bluegrass event known as "Stringtime in the Smokies" presented by The Old Mill at Old Mill Square, which is adjacent to Patriot Park.

Gregory Bald Flame Azaleas

Gregory Bald is my favorite hike in the Smokies, particularly in mid-June to early-July when the flame azaleas are in bloom. There are so many wonderful things to do throughout the Smoky Mountains.

Pigeon Forge Rod Runs and Car Shows
ROD RUNS | Pigeon Forge comes alive with car shows, rod runs, and cruise-in events. The Fall Grand Rod Run is a cornerstone event of Pigeon Forge. Make plans to attend September 14 - 16.
