Durango Mountain Resort

Durango Mountain Resort has received 50+ inches of snow in the last week- that's over 4 feet! There's more scheduled to arrive this evening to create some amazing Powder Days this weekend, with clear skies.

The Nordic Center is offering it’s second race of this season’s Coca Cola series on Saturday at 10am. The races will include a 10km skate ski race for adults and a 5k and 3k race for kids. Race registration is $6 for Nordic members and $12 for non-members. Contact the Nordic Center at 385.2114 for more information.

Telemark skiing combines the best of cross-country and downhill skiing. Come out to enjoy the grace of Telemark skiing while learning progressive techniques from our dedicated and experienced instructors this Sunday, January 13. Our clinics are designed to be fun and user-friendly for skiers of all levels, from beginner to “cheat death”. Classes meet slope side of the big trail map at the base area at 9:45 am.

Purgatory is open with 20 new inches of snow

Purgatory at Durango Mountain Resort woke up to 20 inches of fresh snow Sunday morning, and big snowflakes continue to fall at the southwest Colorado resort. The natural snowfall, combined with cold temperatures utilized by the resort's snowmaking crews, allowed Purgatory to open for the 2007-08 winter season on Sunday, December 2 nd. Regular lift tickets and season passes will begin on Monday, December 3rd. Call the resort's Snow Phone at 970-247-9000 x1 for up-to-date information about snowfall, on-mountain conditions and more.

The Great Pumpkin Patch Express

Meet Lucy & Charlie Brown and select your own pumpkin. Enjoy hayrides, live musical entertainment, storytelling, straw bale maze, bouncy house, temporary tattoos and trick or treating! And kids, don't forget to wear your Halloween costumes.

Rocky Mountain Horse Expo
