Tomb
Tomb is an interactive adventure attraction in Walden’s Landing. Tomb looks like a pyramid, and visitors are transported into a themed Indiana Jones style adventure. Inside, visitors find themselves in the middle of an Egyptian pharaoh’s tomb. From there they have to find a way out of the tomb with their guide and group. This new attraction is located in the Walden’s Landing shopping center. Just look for the big, brightly lit pyramid with the bright color changing lights on top. Captain Jim's Seafood Buffet
Captain Jim’s Seafood Buffet is the only seafood buffet in Tennessee and is locally owned and operated. Captain Jim’s authentic seafood buffet offers between 70 and 80 items the entire family can enjoy. Choose from seafood items and traditional American foods--the buffet features ribs and pot roast every day. One of Captain Jim’s excellent cooks will have his own cooking station where you can watch as he prepares specialty foods. You can get all this at a very reasonable price, which includes the buffet, soup, salad and dessert. Hush puppies are brought to your table. The soups are clam chowder and homemade vegetable soup, and visitors love the house and caesar salads. Titanic Museum Attraction
The Titanic has already started work on an expansion project. The third floor serves as an events and meeting space, complete with serving areas for caterers. For those who will be using the third floor facility, they will be taken to there by an elevator inside the exhibit, which will not be part of the regular tour of the Titanic. Titanic Pigeon Forge offers many specialized events throughout the year. They even offer wedding services, so you can get married aboard the Titanic!

WonderWorks Ropes Course
WonderWorks opened an awesome new Ropes Course! It’s the largest indoor ropes course standing 50 feet tall. You will climb 3 stories of ropes and encounter over 45 different challenges. The Hatfield-McCoy Dinner Show
The show is based on the true story of the feud between the Hatfields and McCoys. The audience divides into the Hatfield and McCoy seating sections and watches the feud, complete with singers, actors, musicians and highly trained stunt people. Lumberjack Feud Dinner & Show
The Lumberjack Feud is a dinner show featuring the pre-1940s timber lifestyle of the Smoky Mountains and centers on the theme where there are two families who are the last logging clans left in the Smoky Mountains. They only have a short time before their timbering days are over with the formation of the Great Smoky Mountains and the families decide to fight it out to see who gets the last of the logs. Each person attending the show will be assigned to one of the two feuding lumberjack families and your family will be competing to win. Every part of the show is composed of things that actual loggers would do. The lumberjacks are true competitors, and they are all world class lumberjack athletes who truly want to win. New Balloon attraction to go behind WonderWorks!
WonderWorks has plans to build a large tethered balloon that will be located right behind their building. The balloon will be illuminated at night will stand 105 feet high on the ground. Then the helium will carry the balloon and its passengers about 400 feet up for a view of the city and the Great Smoky Mountains. The ride will be completely silent because it runs off of helium. The balloon will be considered a ride but really it’s more of a leisure trip up about 400 feet for a nice view instead of a thrill ride. Ready to ride the balloon? Tennessee Shindig Expansion
Tennessee Shindig plans to open three more theaters along with a new indoor waterpark that will adjoin Spirit of the Smokies Condo Lodge. One of the shows will be a 750-seat theater that will host a new dinner attraction with a swashbuckling theme to be named Pirate’s Treasure Feast. The show will include song and dance, with a meal provided by the adjacent Wood Grill Buffet. In the mornings, Davis promised a “distinctly unique” breakfast show in the same space. The next show will be a smaller, 300-seat venue a show with a Christian theme. Also, the existing 990-seat theater that hosts Tennessee Shindig will remain as will the current show itself, though the stage will be expanded and new shows will be offered at different times.
Hollywood Wax Museum
The Hollywood Wax Museum that was on the parkway in Gatlinburg has closed this year. The NEW Hollywood Wax Museum is set to open in Pigeon Forge in the Spring of 2012 in the building where the Dinosaur Walk Museum is. This upgrade for the Hollywood Wax Museum is going to huge, this is a $15 million investment and they will be moving into a three story building with 30,000 square feet.

Water Magic Attraction
The owners of Pigeon Forge’s Titanic Museum, John and Mary Joslyn are already working on opening a new attraction in Pigeon Forge! They have just announced the opening of a new attraction called Water Magic. It will open on the 2100 block just across from the Titanic. Water Magic will be an attraction/interactive museum that is based solely on water. It will feature all things water. Cool things you can do with water, how you can play with water and other unbelievable things that water can do. It is said to “leave guests amazed and in awe.”

The Island at Pigeon Forge
This is a project that has been long delayed and is scheduled to open in the Spring of 2013 as “The Island at Pigeon Forge”. The Island at Pigeon Forge will include a hotel, an events center, several attractions and retail shopping. One proposed new highlight of the new development would be a 200-foot skywheel with heated, cooled cars. [>>read blog ]
