What our Visitors Suggest...

“Our all time favorite restaurant is Great American Steak and Buffet and we make sure we eat there every trip. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are all so great that I can not pick my favorite meal. It is crowded a bit, but that is because the food is fantastic, fresh, and they have a huge selection. Sit a spell on the huge log rockers to smell the mountain air and decide what to do next. We have actually driven to Pigeon Forge from Louisiana over a three day weekend just to eat there. Alamo restaurant is another favorite. It has huge baked potatoes, beautiful atmosphere (romantic), great steaks, a cut above the rest, a little pricy, but you get what you pay for. In all honesty we have never met a restaurant in the Smokies we did not like except one, and it has shut down, so there you go! Any choice is a good one.”
- Lilly from Louisiana

“Every time we come to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, we always make it a point to go to Huck Finns. It is fantastic!”
- T. Larmes

“My favorite restaurant in the Smokies is The Old Mill. The setting, along with the food is spectacular. Everyone should try it!”
- Monique from Louisiana

“My favorite place would be Bennett’s Bar-B-Q. We love their ribs. We eat there every time we come to Pigeon Forge.”
- Len from South Carolina

“When we visited Pigeon Forge about 3 years ago, we ate at the Old Mill Restaurant on the 2nd day, and after that there was no where else that could compare in my mind. We kept going back, and back, and back. Oh My! There are so many times I wish I just could drive up there to eat, but we are too far away. Their food is just like home cooking. My mother-in-law used to have a saying, "That food was good enough to make you slap your Pappy down!" My feelings exactly! When we return to Pigeon Forge that will be the first place we eat!”
- Shirley from Louisiana

“There are so many. I have to say our favorite spot is Mel's Diner. It is worth the trip just to get their banana split. When you order it ask for 2 spoons and expect to share with someone, it's huge! We always plan 1 or 2 meals there. The breakfast deal is the best around $3.99 for a huge meal (we have been known to have a banana split too). Make sure you check the time for breakfast. We tell everyone that mentions PF that you have to go to Mel's. I took a picture in Jan. of the banana split to show people back here. I would make the 4 hour drive just to eat at Mel's. If you get a chance to go you'll return every time you visit the Smokies.”
- Dottie from Franklin, Tennessee

“One of our favorite places to eat in the Smokies is the Gondolier Restaurant in Gatlinburg. The have the very best pizza we have ever tasted and their pasta dishes are very good, as well. We always purchase a Dining Certificate from restaurant.com so that our check is very reasonable.”
- Carolyn

“We have so many favorites...Cracker Barrel, Great American Buffet, Calhoun’s, Dixie Stampede, Bennett's Bar-B-Que in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and the Log Cabin Pancake House. However, the one that stands out in my mind that our family loves is the "Cherokee Grill" in Gatlinburg. Most recently, my wife and I treated each other to our 40th birthday dinner at the Cherokee Grill. We always recommend it to anyone visiting the Smokies."
- Tom from Georgia

“We try to visit a new place to eat on every trip. My family likes the Hard Rock Cafe in Gatlinburg. Another favorite is Duff's smorgasbord in Pigeon Forge. We like to go there for breakfast. They have great made-to-order omelets.”
- M. Wheeler

“We go to the Smokies a least 6 time a year, But we always eat at Bennett’s Bar-B-Q, or the Outback steak house. Both are the best!”
- Mitzi and Phillip from Ohio

“My Family's favorite restaurant in the Smokies is the Apple Barn and we eat there the first day we get to Sevierville.”
- Shirley

“Our favorite restaurant I would have to say is Bennett's Bar-B-Q. Then the next would be The Old Mill. Every thing in the Smokies is wonderful!”
- Rhonda

“Our family's favorite place to eat is the Chop House. It is located in the Tanger outlets in Sevierville. The food is always great, and the service is dependable from visit to visit. We eat there at least twice during the week we are in Pigeon Forge. We have been to Pigeon Forge nearly every year since my 13 year old was born. We are planning on two visits this year. Even as much as Pigeon Forge has grown, it still feels like home away from home for our family.”
- George

“My choice would be a delicious breakfast at the Pancake Pantry. I can just taste the mouth watering pancakes there, so light and fluffy. It is has always been a hit with my family for the last 30 years."
- Carol from Dyer, TN

“We cannot visit the Smokies without eating at least once at the Pancake Pantry in Gatlinburg and the Log Cabin in Pigeon Forge. You can't find better peach cobbler or stuffed peppers anywhere!”
- Dan and Kay

“Well, our favorite restaurant in the Smokies would have to be The Apple Barn. They have the best southern food and hospitality. One of the best places to sit and enjoy your meal is in the swing. You really feel at home and can always ask for seconds! I love their store, too. Their Apple Butter is out of this world. It's not just my favorite restaurant in the Smokies. It is my favorite restaurant ever!”
- Heather

“ My personal favorite is The Atrium Restaurant. The hamburgers they serve are the best. Better than fancy places across the country. The service is always wonderful and like I said, they serve the best hamburger. Always the best flavor cooked to perfection and dressed as you like it!! When we are in your area, we go there when we first arrive and at least once more during the week. That is the only place we will eat while in town. The rest of our stay, we cook at the cabin. Thanks for asking this question! Everyone should give The Atrium a try! It's just simply a GREAT place to eat!”
- Gail from Indiana

"I have a few favorites. You can't beat Applewood Farmhouse for any meal. It would have to be #1. The fritters are the best! I have never had a bad meal there, breakfast, lunch, or supper. The Park Grill and The Peddler tie for second in my book. The salad bars are fabulous! When you have you have been hiking on the trail all day on a long hike, a meal at Park Grill or Peddler hit the spot. We even drive down there two hours just to go hike and eat."
- Bonnie, Appalachian Neurosurgical Clinic
