Please send me some information on the spring and fall rally. Thank you Denice

Hello, First off I would like to say I have loved comeing to the Grand Rod run for over 15 years with our car club. But in the last few years it looks to be that the town it self dose not wount us there, the police will give a tickit at a drop of the hat for almost nothing, my friend got one last year because his bumper was 7" over the side walk! Now we found out that the rooms their has jumped at some places over $30.00 more then last year! so last night at our meeting we voted , from now on Somerset Ky will be getting our money, BETTER and cheeper Rooms and the cops are happy to see us and PARKING is SO much better, so as for now you have lost over 80 people, Just thought you should know,, you can thank the cops and the jump in the cost of rooms for this,, Joel Young

I've been going to the rod runs in april and sept for about 10 years now, last april i've noticed hotel rates going too high and not enough parking and the muscle cars well shoot not being as many as they have been in the past years bc of new cars and rice burner cars (teenagers)whatever happened to the good ol days when u went and parked and watched the old cars do burn outs w/o getting a ticket and not fouling plugs by sitting in the line of cars ,i know i left from pigeon forge and drove to gatlinburg and back and it took me 8 hours and thats stopping twice it was crazy and dont think i'll be going back this sept

I have to agree with many of the people. The 2006 sept rod run was very disapointing. Seems more "civilian" type cars were on the strip than Hot Rods. Hotels cost a left arm and the food in the show was crap. No more runs for me.

hey i went to the rod runs last april and september... i had heard how much fun it was, that people done all these burn outs and just really showed what there cars had, i was so disappointed none of that happened... there was cops every where writing tickets left and right, the cost of rooms and food was out rageous, the traffic was terrible and once we finally got to the main part there was no where to park not even at our motel... that is just crazy... dont think that i will ever go back and that is such a shame considering i only live about 45 minutes from there... word to the wise if you dont want to spend your money on a joke of a weekend dont go to the rod runs it is horrible!
thanks, brittany

just made the spring rod run and thought it was a little pathetic there was plenty of parking but none of the businesses wanted anyone to park there unless you went in to there store, and actually had security guards patroling the parking lots to stop anyone from parking.,then found aparking lot behind the show area where they were more than glad to let me park there for a 15 dollar fee and to look at any of the cars on the strip you had to walk the whole thing! if this is how pigeon forge welcomes their guests i will not be back! would very much prefer somerset ky, and their somernites cruise where parking is FREE, entry is FREE,and the police, citizens and businesses welcome everyone!

What are the dates of the car shows for this year 2007?
