Saddle Up!
There are not too many annual western celebrations east of the Mississippi, but Pigeon Forge, TN is definitely proud to host such an event that attracts thousands of people each year. This year marks the 7th Annual Saddle Up! and it will be held February 22-25. It is almost impossible to find a greater collection of western musicians and entertainers performing in the same place. Not only that, but this is an event that every member of the family, young and old, can really enjoy and become a part of.
The performances will be held in various venues and theaters throughout Pigeon Forge such as the Country Tonite Theatre and the American Jukebox Theater. This year’s performers include Don Edwards, Waddie Mitchell, R.W. Hampton, Wylie & the Wild West, Brenn Hill, the Burson Family, Rich O’Brien, and Belinda Gail and Curly Musgrave. Many of these folks are nationally acclaimed and praised for their various skills and talents. From them, you will hear all kinds of cowboy music, stories, yodeling, poetry, and symphony compositions, while being able to watch or participate in a Western Swing Dance, a Cowboy Action Shooting Competition, Cowboy Church, and even shopping in the Cowboy Clothing Mart. There is definitely plenty to do and keep you busy, and the hardest part is just trying to make sure that you don’t miss any part of everything that is going on throughout the entire extended weekend.
Make sure not to miss it and plan to be here in Pigeon Forge for this western celebration. To get a complete schedule of the events and happenings during Saddle Up!, visit the Pigeon Forge Winterfest website.
