Spring is Coming to Pigeon Forge
With March quickly approaching, Pigeon Forge visitors are beginning to wonder what kind of spring activities we have in store! Check out our Springfest webpage for a calendar of events and descriptions of activities about to begin or read on for a bit more of a tease on exciting things to come.
While the mountains may still have snow-capped peaks, the towns surrounding the Smokies are beginning to bud. This week brought snow, but was quickly followed by warm weather and summer time thunderstorms. March weather is quite unpredictable but always entertaining. Plan on experiencing Springfest in Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Gatlinburg if you arrive between March 8 th and June 14th.
Springtime also means that Dollywood is reopening (April 14th). Our outlet malls will be reinstating their summer hours and new clothing is already appearing in all the stores. Quiltfest is also quickly approaching. This exciting quilting showcase deserves its own page. Outdoor activities such as putt-putt and go-cart tracks are already available and I have seen crowds on the weekends. The longer days and warmer weather give you even more opportunities to enjoy Pigeon Forge.
With the coming of spring, you can also plan on all those car shows! Ribfest, outdoor craft shows, and many other events are also already scheduled. Whether you're coming for the day or want to stay for a week, be sure to check out our Coupon page to help your wallet. Go for a hike! Bike in Cades Cove or along the wonderful bike trail in Townsend. Baby animals will be tottering on their new legs through meadows as the new life of 2007 begins to appear.
