About
Jessica Bookstaff Doppelt was born and raised right in mountains of Gatlinburg, TN. Jessica grew up in the hospitality industry. Her maternal grandparents built and operated numerous attractions in Gatlinburg and her father was a restaurateur and entrepreneur involved in lodging properties and attractions in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. She moved to Knoxville at 17 to attend the University of Tennessee and founded and developed PigeonForge.com as her senior thesis knowing she was creating an invaluable resource for visitors to plan their vacations.
Jessica loves seeing families come to the Smoky Mountains and create memories. As a local expert, a mom to 3 kids and an adventure-seeker, she has tried it all and is passionate about sharing all her favorite things to do in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville. You can count on her to be the first one to jump off the zipline platform, sit in the front of the raft or throw the first axe.
Jessica grew up literally sharing a property line with the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. She is invested in the preservation of the park land, its resources and wildlife. She can tell you the best watering holes for a dip in the river or a picnic with kiddos.
Fun Fact: her high school physics class took a field trip to Dollywood to perform physics experiments on the rides and roller coasters.
