Anakeesta’s hours vary day to day. Most months Anakeesta is typically open from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm, in the summer, with some exceptions where the park closes at 8:00 pm or 9:00 pm. Tree Top SkyWalk at Night
One of the coolest and most popular attractions at the park is the longest tree-based skywalk in North America. The 50-60 foot high suspended bridge yields gorgeous sights of surrounding nature during the day, and you might even get a glimpse of a black bear on the forest floor. But Anakeesta at night makes the Tree Top experience even more magical. The fairy lights cascading across the connecting bridges add a layer of mystique and romance to this unique experience.
Gather Around The Fire Pit
An especially lovely idea for a romantic date night in the Smoky Mountains is gathering around the fire pit and watching the sunset from the park’s Black Bear Village. You and your partner can grab something sweet to eat, enjoy a cold brew, and listen to live music as you take in the gorgeous surroundings. Watch the lights of downtown Gatlinburg slowly start to glow as the sun sets behind Mount LeConte.

This interactive treehouse adventure is a great place for all ages to climb, swing, crawl and slide in an imaginative place to play – and it’s even more fun after dark. The course is made up of six netted bridges and three treehouses that each contain different challenges. It’s fun for both kids and kids at heart; you’ll feel like a kid out past your bedtime.
