Parking Tags in the GRSM
In 2023 a new system of parking tags was introduced to our otherwise free-to-enter national park. For anyone parking their car for more than 15 minutes within the park boundaries, you will need a valid parking tag. The good news is: day passes are only $5, they’re easy to purchase in the park or online, and all the proceeds benefit the Great Smoky Mountains National Park directly.

Traveling with a car that needs to be plugged in and charged? Pigeon Forge has a few free charge points: Tanger Outlets and The Inn at Christmas Place will be your most convenient options. There are also paid charging stations located at many local restaurants and attractions on the Parkway.
