​If you’ve ever wanted to feel like a world-class explorer while holding a neon-colored putter and wearing flip-flops, Professor Hacker’s Lost Treasure Golf is your holy grail.

​The Grand Entrance

​The experience starts with a yellow mining train that takes you to the top of the "mountain." Is it strictly necessary to ride a train 40 yards uphill to start a game of golf? Absolutely not. Is it the highlight of my entire week? Yes. There is something majestic about being shuttled to your first tee like a 1920s gold prospector who forgot his mule and brought a group of rowdy kids instead.

​The Course (or "The Jungle")

​We chose the Diamond Course, because we aren't here for "easy gold." The landscaping is aggressive in the best way possible. You’re putting around:

​A Massive Volcano: I’m 90% sure it doesn't actually erupt, but I still checked for lava before every stroke.

​The Pirate Ship: Nothing says "pro-golfer" like trying to bank a ball off the hull of a shipwreck while a waterfall drowns out the sound of your own internal frustration.

​The Plane Crash: It really adds a layer of realism to my "crash and burn" putting style.

​The Mystery Hole

​At the end, they have a Mystery Hole. If you get a hole-in-one on the secret hole of the day, you win a free game. I didn't win, but the suspense was more intense than a Formula 1 qualifying lap.

​Final Verdict

​This place is "Pigeon Forge Peak." It’s loud, it’s themed to the heavens, and it’s well-maintained. Whether you’re a technical player or you just like hitting the ball as hard as you can and hoping for a miracle bounce off a Mayan temple, you’ll have a blast.
