Located at the gateway of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Smoky Mountain Knife Works is the World's Largest Knife Store. More than 1.5 million guests visit our 108,000 square-foot knife showroom in Sevierville, TN each year. We are the first stop for a lot of families as the make their yearly trip tot he Smoky Mountains. It is not unusual for us see people year-to-year and when they come in we treat them like family. In the Knife Works you will see knives from brands including: WR Case and Sons Cutlery, Benchmade Knives, Spyderco, Microtech, CRKT, Gerber, Victorinox, Buck, KA-Bar and many, many more. In fact we deal with over 500 different brands. Our store houses a massive collection of museum-quality cutlery memorabilia, artifacts, and mounts – as well as just about every kind of knife and outdoor equipment you can think of. Also inside the Knife Works is Smoky Mountain Guns and Ammo and the Smoky Mountain Relic Room - the Largest Diversity of History for Sale in North America.

In the early 1970's, Kevin Pipes—the company's Founder − and John Parker started to sell pocketknives from their pickup trucks. They spent most of the next decade building relationships with customers and vendors alike, and in 1978, Smoky Mountain Knife Works was born. In the last 45 years, SMKW has grown exponentially. In fact, we outgrew two buildings before we built and moved into our present location in Sevierville, Tennessee. We also fulfill thousands of orders every day from our state-of-the-art Distribution Center in Dandridge, Tennessee.

From time to time, we also host some amazing events in our retail showroom, including Case Zippo President's Day and our Fall Festival.
