The Timber at Holly Branch

We booked a luxury suite 1 bedroom private bathroom unit in Feb 2026. We were impressed as the whole place seems very new and only a few of the 15 rooms were booked. Really loved the outdoor fire pits and the rustic cabin style rooms with a modern flare. The Nespresso coffee was really good and walk in tiled showers are impressive. We met a guy on site who showed us how to work the fire pits and gave us extra coffee cream and sugar. The place is heated and cooled via 2 Mini splits with remotes. There was a placard explaining how they operate. The walk in shower was fine for us but might be a little bit narrow for some people. The queen bed was very comfortable. The location is close to the Gatlinburg strip but might be too far for some to walk. TVs in living room and bedroom have basic channels but require the use of Google cast to cast apps like Netflix, etc from your phone to the tv. The process was simple to perform but the clarity on the screen wasn’t the same in my opinion as signing into the app on the tv itself.

We absolutely loved our stay at Timber Lodge! From start to finish, everything was perfect. Communication was amazing and always timely, which made the whole experience even smoother. When we arrived, our room was already prepared — clean, spacious, and stocked with everything we needed.

I especially appreciated the good coffee provided inside the room (such a small detail, but it makes a big difference!). There were plenty of clean towels, and the bed was incredibly comfortable with extra pillows — such a cozy touch.

The surrounding area was beautiful, and we loved spending time by the fire pits in the evening, just sitting, talking, and enjoying the outdoors. The location couldn’t be better either — really close to everything we wanted to do.

We had a wonderful time here, and we are definitely planning to come back!

Everything about this place felt crafted with comfort and design in mind. This is a smaller hotel, but it truly feels like your own mini cabin. There’s less than 30 rooms, and so the experience is much more personal. There’s 3 fire pits, and if you walk to the back area you can see down the hill & the local gatlinburg trolley stop. Sometimes at night the Ober mountain lift will come right above the place all light up for the holidays, it’s beautiful. This location is close enough to gatlinburg you can walk the 1.0 mile into the city area, but also perfectly far away where there’s little to no noise at all or hustle and bustle. We ate at the still house each night and morning which is the restaurant on sight. They also offer complimentary light breakfast and coffee + drinks. I highly reccomended going there to eat for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They also have a great selection of drinks & a skilled bartender & cook, and hostess who are all knowledgeable at their craft. We will be staying again!
