Tremont Lodge & Resort

Tremont Lodge was an amazing venue for a wedding. The staff could not have been more helpful, thru the planning, our stay, and assisting older relatives with golf cart transportation. The venue is two stories with identical set up on both floors. A full kitchen, restrooms, and a view of the mountains. We were able to use the upstairs for the wedding, downstairs for the rehearsal dinner and reception. The recommendations for catering, wedding planner, and bartender were fabulous. Family attended from six different states, we were able to walk between rooms, the venue, pools, firepit, etc to spend time together. Highly recommend.

After arriving in Townsend, we discovered that the cabin we had booked was accessible only by an extremely steep mountain road. It was far steeper than we were comfortable with, so we canceled our reservation and found Tremont Lodge & Resort instead—and we’re so glad we did.

The rooms were clean, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the beds were soooooo comfortable. After one night on the hard mattress at the cabin that felt like sleeping on the floor, the beds here felt absolutely luxurious.

What we loved most was that we still got that peaceful Smoky Mountain atmosphere without the stress of navigating steep mountain roads. The property was quiet, relaxing, and had a wonderful laid-back vibe. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus.

If you’re looking for a comfortable, clean, and relaxing place to stay in Townsend with easy access and beautiful mountain surroundings, I highly recommend Tremont Lodge & Resort.

This was our second time staying at the Tremont Lodge, and we continue to love it! The rooms are nice and clean. The grounds are beautiful, with plenty of things for my young kids to enjoy. The views are amazing. The whole property is quiet. Compared to other places we had considered, the pricing is great! We'll definitely be back!

One of the big draws of staying here is the variety of room setups they offer. Since my youngest still needs an occasional nap or goes to sleep sooner than the rest of us, we like a separate and closed-off place in the room to go so we don't disturb the toddler. Most traditional hotel rooms are not great for this. The Queen Suite at the Tremont Lodge is perfect for us!

We much prefer the peace and quiet of Townsend to the more touristy and crowded nearby Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Plenty of fun (and cheap or free) outdoor activities for us to do! This location makes it easier to spend our time exploring!
