Your pup can come along on your Smoky Mountain vacation, even when Dollywood is on the itinerary. While pets aren’t permitted inside, Doggywood is the perfect place to keep your pup for the day! With pet-friendly lodging, restaurants, and plenty of places to explore together throughout the Smokies, you don’t have to leave your four-legged family member behind when planning your getaway.
Make a Reservation Before Your Visit
Space at Doggywood is very limited, so reservations are highly recommended. Walk-up availability isn’t guaranteed, especially on busy park days, so reserving your dog’s spot ahead of time is the best option.
All About Doggywood
While pets aren’t permitted inside Dollywood except for service animals, Doggywood offers a climate controlled place for dogs to stay while their owners enjoy Dollywood or Dollywood’s Splash Country.
Located next to Guest Services at Dollywood’s Front Gate, Doggywood offers both kennels and cottages for daytime stays. Doggywood has 12 kennel runs and four cottages available for dogs staying for the day. Dogs from the same household can share a kennel or cottage for an additional fee, and fresh water is provided.
What To Bring To Doggywood
- Vaccination records: All dogs must be current on both rabies and Bordetella vaccines, with written proof from a veterinarian.
- Food for the day: Owners are responsible for providing an adequate food supply for their dog.
- Your dog’s vaccination information for the waiver: When reserving online, you’ll be asked to complete the Doggywood Waiver and upload vaccination records.
Dogs that are unable or ineligible to receive the required rabies or Bordetella vaccines cannot stay at Doggywood.
Checking In on Your Pup
Doggywood gives your dog a comfortable place to stay, but owners are still responsible for their care throughout the day. You’ll need to return to walk your dog as needed and clean up after them in the enclosed walking area behind the kennel. Doggywood Hosts aren’t permitted to walk dogs for guests.
Doggywood Hours
Doggywood follows Dollywood’s operating schedule and is available for daytime stays only. Drop-off begins 30 minutes before Dollywood’s published opening time, and all dogs must be picked up no later than 15 minutes after the park closes. Overnight boarding isn’t available.
Keep in mind: Doggywood is only available to guests visiting Dollywood or Dollywood’s Splash Country. You can’t leave your dog at Doggywood while you head elsewhere in Pigeon Forge.
