Christmas Celebrations

Dollywood is a 130-acre theme park in Pigeon Forge. It’s known for thrilling coasters, outstanding shows and parades, good eats and family friendly fun. It transforms into a winter wonderland each year for the Smoky Mountain Christmas celebration. More than 5 million lights span across the park and a 50-foot Christmas tree serves as the centerpiece.

The 50-foot tree resides in the Glacier Ridge section of the park. Here you’ll also find a symphony of lights and a walk-through canopy of lights representing the Northern Lights. You’ll also find a number of shows at Dollywood for Christmas. The main shows, Christmas in the Smokies, It’s a Wonderful Life and ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, are holiday classics you’ll find on stage at Dollywood. Other Christmas shows on tap at the park include:

In addition to the shows, Dolly’s Parade of Many Colors performs nightly down ShowStreet. This breathtaking parade features floats, lights, performers and more. You’ll also find many opportunities to make family memories. Favorite Christmas characters like Santa Claus and Rudolph and Friends can be found making seasonal appearances at Dollywood.

Dollywood Christmas Treats

If seasonal treats please your palate, you’ll find a number of tasty goods at Dollywood’s Christmas celebration! Of course you’ll find classics like hot cocoa and Christmas cookies, but those looking for something special will be pleased by the menus at park eateries like Aunt Granny’s Restaurant & the Front Porch Café.

Winter Travel Guide

Sometimes it’s too easy to get caught up in celebrating and forget the real reason behind the holiday season. Celebrate the birth of Christ with true Dollywood flair at the Smoky Mountain Christmas Chapel. You’ll find a worship service every evening at 5:30 and be reminded that Jesus is the reason.

What to Know Before You Go

Dollywood is closed on Monday and Tuesday during the Christmas celebrations. Hours are 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
