Dollywood Christmas: A Holly, Dolly Holiday

Dollywood Christmas in Pigeon Forge is truly a sight to behold. From the twinkling lights of Winterfest to the Smoky Mountain Christmas Celebration, there’s something for everyone to enjoy in our neck of the woods. Check out what's happening at Dollywood for Christmas in 2020.

Important Note: Dollywood's Smoky Mountain Christmas will look a little different this year due to COVID-19. This year, masks and social distancing will be required and the park will be operating at a reduced capacity. While reservations are not required for visits, they are strongly encouraged as the park can and will reach capacity. If this happens, entry to the park will be limited to season passholders and daily ticketholders with reservations. If you know when you are visiting- we recommend making reservations in advance.

Dollywood Christmas features a celebration hinged on wonder, harmony, family, joy and faith. The festivities start in early November and run through early January. Christmas Celebrations

Dollywood is a 130-acre theme park in Pigeon Forge. It’s known for thrilling coasters, outstanding shows and parades, good eats and family friendly fun. It transforms into a winter wonderland each year for the Smoky Mountain Christmas celebration. More than 5 million lights span across the park and a 50-foot Christmas tree serves as the centerpiece.

Dollywood

The 50-foot tree resides in the Glacier Ridge section of the park. Here you’ll also find a symphony of lights and a walk-through canopy of lights representing the Northern Lights. You’ll also find a number of shows at Dollywood for Christmas. This year, guest favorites like "Christmas in the Smokies" and "Kingdom Heirs Christmas" will return, along with these other Christmas shows:

In addition to your favorite shows, a brand new show will come to the DreamSong Theatre this year. This show is called "Heart of the HOlidays" and will include members of Dolly's extended family, plus songs from Dolly's brand new Christmas album..

Merry & Bright Fireworks

Brand new for 2020, Dollywood will have an all-new fireworks display on Friday and Saturday nights during the Christmas season. The fireworks will be set off to the sounds of your favorite Christmas songs and will be visible all around the park. Fireworks are weather permitting and this show is a can't-miss part of a winter trip to Dollywood.

If seasonal treats please your palate, you’ll find a number of tasty goods at Dollywood’s Christmas celebration! What to Know Before You Go

If you’re heading to the Dollywood Christmas celebration, it’s important to bundle up! The average low temperature in Pigeon Forge in December is just 30 degrees, so taking in the lights in the evening can get chilly. It’s also important to be aware of the park’s operating hours. Dollywood is closed on Monday and Tuesday during the Christmas celebrations. Hours are 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Also note that Dollywood is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
