Dollywood is a 130-acre theme park in Pigeon Forge. It’s known for thrilling coasters, outstanding shows and parades, good eats and family friendly fun. It transforms into a winter wonderland each year for the Smoky Mountain Christmas celebration. More than 5 million lights span across the park and a 50-foot Christmas tree serves as the centerpiece.
DollywoodThe 50-foot tree resides in the Glacier Ridge section of the park. Here, you’ll also find a symphony of lights and a walk-through canopy of lights representing the Northern Lights. You’ll also find a number of shows at Dollywood for Christmas.
Merry & Bright Fireworks
On select nights, Dollywood will have a fireworks display during the Christmas season. The fireworks will be set off to the sounds of your favorite Christmas songs and will be visible all around the park. Fireworks are weather permitting and this show is a can't-miss part of a winter trip to Dollywood.
Dollywood Christmas Treats
If seasonal treats please your palate, you’ll find a number of tasty goods at Dollywood’s Christmas celebration! What to Know Before You Go
If you’re heading to the Dollywood Christmas celebration, it’s important to bundle up! The average low temperature in Pigeon Forge in December is just 30 degrees, so taking in the lights in the evening can get chilly. It’s also important to be aware of the park’s operating hours. Dollywood is closed on Monday and Tuesday during the Christmas celebrations. Hours are 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Also note that Dollywood is closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
