Dollywood Halloween events are some of the theme park's biggest draws of the season. While the park is already such a wonderful destination for family friendly fun, Dollywood's Halloween events provide a non-spooky experience that's great for younger kids wanting to enjoy the seasonal excitement. The Harvest Festival, happening between September 24 and October 30, 2021, is filled with activities that every member of the family is sure to enjoy.
Dollywood Halloween Events
Presented by Humana, the Dollywood Harvest Festival encompasses several different events at the park during the fall season. The Southern Gospel Jubilee is the largest celebration of its kind in the world, and will feature live musical performances throughout the park that you can enjoy at no additional cost. The Harvest Festival also features unique artisans and craftsmen from all over the country. But the fan favorite Dollywood Halloween event is Great Pumpkin LumiNights.
Great Pumpkin LumiNights
If you really want to get in the spirit of Dollywood Halloween, step into the park in the peak of October when thousands of perfectly carved and illuminated jack-o-lanterns surround families for an immersive fall experience. The artistic sculptures and whimsical scenes create a delightfully family friendly environment with yummy autumn food options, entertainment, and some interactive opportunities for guests.
Yummy Fall Delicacies
Enter Timber Canyon and be filled with the delicious aroma of classic fall foods. You won't want to miss some of the incredible event exclusives like pumpkin funnel cakes, candy corn cotton candy, and - our personal favorite - caramel apple sundaes! And with this year's Dollywood Halloween event having expanded to more than double the size of last year's, we hope to try even more delicious autumn treats for 2020.
Dollywood Halloween Tips
If you plan on attending the Dollywood Harvest Festival this year, the park has several tips for navigating the crowds. Peak guest volume for Great Pumpkin LumiNights happens between 7:30 and 8:30 every evening, and if you find yourself being delayed from the crowds, Dollywood suggests entering from Showstreet and exiting through Craftsman Valley to help minimize the wait. They also recommend visiting between Sunday and Thursday for the premium viewing experience.
