Anakeesta is ushering in spring with Blooms and Tunes, an event to heighten the anticipation of the season. Beginning in April and running through early June, the mountain will feature larger-than-life spring-themed art installations, live music seven days per week, chef-inspired seasonal menu items and thousands of new blooms at Vista Gardens.
As the sun sets over the Smokies, guests can enjoy the warmer evenings on the mountain. The park comes to life at night with twinkling lights and colorful light displays throughout Vista Gardens. The Treetop Skywalk transforms into Firefly Forest with lights projected above and below the canopy giving the sensation of being surrounded by thousands of shimmering fireflies!
Families and visitors can come enjoy the whimsy of local artistry at Blooms and Tunes. With some creations crafted by locally-based Brainchild Creative, all the pieces celebrate the life and energy of the Great Smoky Mountains in the spring. The fun begins at the entrance of Anakeesta where guests will see a stunning 20-feet-long blooming daisy and even take a seat on the big green couch. On the mountain, check out several grand and colorful flower sculptures, as well as an oversized paint palette complete with 10-foot-tall paint brushes designed specifically for Anakeesta. In all, there are 29 flower sculptures throughout the park.
Live music with the Anakeesta park band in Black Bear Village really puts the tunes in Anakeesta’s Blooms and Tunes spring event. Guests will enjoy live music every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday while they relax in the village. From classic Bluegrass and mountain fiddling to your favorite country hits, the stage at Black Bear Village will be rockin’ out.
