Many businesses in the area are celebrating Cinco de Mayo. Here’s what’s happening on May 5 in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Sevierville and Townsend.
The Abbey will be offering Coronas and Steveritas by the river to accompany ribs, tacos and fajitas. Plus music by the First Friday artists.
Country Roads Axe Co. is offering a new specialty pizza Fiesta en mi boca. It is inspired by traditional Mexican cuisine and is made with refried beans, shredded mixed and mozzarella cheeses, seasoned beef, tomatoes, red onion, and jalapeños. They are also offering new tequila cocktails.
Smoky Mountain School of Cooking is offering a Cinco de Mayo inspired Appalachian cooking class. They will be cooking up Cilantro Lime Chicken, Mexican Street Corn, Cornbread Muffin with jalapeño & cheddar and a delicious Key Lime Cake for dessert. Register online.
Hush Money will be performing at the Hard Rock Cafe. Emerging from the foothills of the southern Appalachians, Hush Money is a diverse modern alternative southern rock band with a contemporary sound that is deeply rooted in vintage rock, blues, and outlaw country.

Junction 35 Spirits will be launching a new Anejo Tequila and offering food and drink specials.
Pinchy’s Lobster & Beer Company will have live music all weekend. They are offering the following Cinco de Mayo specials: $2 Mexicon corn, $3 Michelados, $4 Mexican oysters, $5 street tacos, and $6 Mexican sushi.
Peaceful Side Social‘s outdoor taco bar will be open from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm and serving fresh margaritas, craft beers, and tacos. Humble Bob and the Engineers will be playing live music from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. This is a family friendly and dog friendly event.
