Drums Across the Smokies is an elite marching band competition, hosted by Tennessee's very own Drum Corps, Music City. There will be four other Drum Corps present to compete against Tenneesse's Music City Drum Corps, Directed by Joe Roach. A drum corps consists of 150+ members (16-21 years of age), music speciality staff, administrative staff, a team of volunteers, and a cook staff. All of these staff members, as well as the 150+ competitive members, tour the country all summer long, competing at numerous different events. Rehearsing in between shows. Eating off a food truck, and sleeping on an air mattress on high school gym floors. This will all come to an end at Drum Corps International Championships in Indianapolis, IN, in August @ the Colts Stadium. It's an incredible experience to watch.
Drums Corps from Madison WI, Sacramento, CA, La Crosse, WI, Rosemont, IL & Nashville, TN will be performing.
