Gatlinburg’s Annual Chili Cook-off and Winter Magic Celebration returns November 12, 2026 on the Parkway between the Mountain Mall and Gatlinburg Sky Park in Downtown Gatlinburg
Celebrate the start of the holiday season with Gatlinburg’s beloved Chili Cook-off and Winter Magic Celebration presented by Bush’s Chili Beans. Now in its 36th year, this flavorful festival brings together local restaurants, organizations, and attractions to serve up an irresistible variety of chili - from timeless classics to bold, creative twists.
The evening also marks the launch of Gatlinburg’s Winter Magic, as the city lights up with over 1 million dazzling LED lights, turning downtown into a festive wonderland. There will be a Christmas Tree Farm, photos with Santa, carnival games, a giant inflatable snow globe, holiday photo ops, ice skating rink, snomazing inflatable maze, and carolers to kick off the event.
This year’s event takes place back on the Parkway in downtown Gatlinburg. The event is free and open to everyone. Ages 5 and up will need a wristband to sample the chili's on a first come first serve basis. The wristbands can only be purchased at the event for $10.
