Celebrate Independence Day in Townsend with a one hour concert by a 35-piece brass band, playing patriotic and Appalachian tunes under the direction of Danny Griffin.

Gates open at 6:30 PM, concert starts at 8 in the covered amphitheater. Come early for lawn seating, 1776-era characters, and free flags for the first 300 guests.

It will wrap up in time for the downtown fireworks. Suggested $10 donation supports the Heritage Center’s exhibits and programs.
