The Smoky Mountain Harvest Festival is a 12 week celebration of the fall season. This year, it will begin on September 7th and extend through November 25th. Fall events will include a Chili Cookoff on Wednesday November 7th. The Winterfest lights will also be turned on that night, but there will not be a kickoff ceremony. Catch the Trolley Ride of Lights beginning on November 8th, running nightly through December 31st. Also, enjoy new seasonal decorations, including life-size, 3-dimensional Scarecrow people.
We could not live in a more picturesque area for viewing Fall color. We want to capitalize on the seasonal beauty by extending our Harvest Festival to the end of November thus giving visitors more opportunities to experience Autumn in the Smokies.Mark Adams, Gatlinburg CVB CEO/President
