Trail Description Written by Caroline Sullivan

Goldmine Trail, or Goldmine Road Trail, is a short trail on the western side of the park between the park boundary at Montvale Springs and Cooper Road Trail. It's a good trail to add on to a loop hike from Abrams Creek Campground.

Goldmine Trail is part of the remains of an old track. The trail is sometimes spelled Gold Mine Trail or Gold Mine Road Trail. It was named after a mine in the flats of the mountain that was eventually abandoned after the gold extracted from it only covered 70% of the cost of mining it.

At the park boundary, this trail ends at the Top Of The World community.
