Trail Description
Little Brier Gap trail is a short and easy hike suitable for children. It is most well known for the Walker Sisters Cabin, which you can find just over a mile from the trailhead at Little Greenbrier School.
The trailhead is located very close to the northern border of the national park between Townsend and Gatlinburg, just west of the Sugarlands Visitor Center. From Wears Valley you can reach it via Line Springs Road from Highway 321. Upon entering the Great Smoky Mountains National Park this road turns into Wear Cove Gap Road, and Little Greenbrier Road is less than a mile in on your left. From Gatlinburg and the Sugarlands Visitor Center, take Fighting Creek Gap Road all the way to Metcalf Bottoms to find the intersection with Wear Cove Gap Road.
A popular way to reach the Walker Sisters Cabin is by parking at Metcalf Bottoms and heading northeast on Metcalf Bottoms Trail for about 0.7 of a mile before reaching the Little Greenbrier School. From here continue 1.1 miles on Little Brier Gap Trail to reach the Walker Sisters Cabin.

Hiker Tips & Trivia
- Due to the popularity of Metcalf Bottoms and lack of parking around the Little Greenbrier School, it is possible to park at a pulloff around the intersection of Wear Cove Gap Road and Little Greenbrier Road. From here you can walk along the gravel Little Greenbrier Road for a half mile before reaching the trailhead for Little Brier Gap Trail.
