July 4th in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg will look a little different this year due to cancellations as a result of the Coronavirus. The following events have been cancelled and will not be taking place in 2020:
While these events will not take place for 2020, there are a few that will still be happening for visitors to enjoy, including firework displays in both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Read on to learn what will be happening on July 4th in Pigeon Forge.
Gatlinburg River Raft Regatta
The Gatlinburg River Raft Regatta race starts at noon at the Christ in the Smokies bridge and ends at Ripley's Aquarium. There are two categories: Trash (not hand-made) and Treasure (hand-made). Awards will go to the top 3 in each category. Additionally, the “Judges Choice” award will go to the most creative raft. Awards will be given to the oldest and the youngest participant.Read More
Pigeon Forge Fireworks
Pigeon Forge will launch fireworks from Patriot Park on July 4th. The city is encouraging drive-up participation to limit close contact with other families. The fireworks will be launched at 9:30 PM and will last approximately 20 minutes.Read More
Gatlinburg 4th Of July Fireworks
