World’s Largest Titanic Life Jacket Display
For the first and only time, the largest assemblage of remaining RMS Titanic Lifejackets will be on exclusive display July 1, 2019 at the Titanic Museum Attraction in Pigeon Forge. There are only 12 known Titanic lifejackets left in the world, and for the first time anywhere, 6 of these priceless artifacts will be at the Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge. During this rare event, the Titanic Museum crew will speak for the passengers who wore them. These jackets gave hope to the helpless. There were enough lifejackets to protect the 2,208 passenger/crew on board Titanic, but not enough lifeboats to save them all. Lifejackets were made of hard cork and canvas, proving dangerous for many forced to jump into the water. A life boat drill was never held.

Rowdy Bear Ridge Adventure Park
Rowdy Bear Mountain, home to Gatlinburg’s only 5 star rated and #1 voted theme park, introduces an expansion to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The 12 million dollar project on 6 acres will be located at 2155 Parkway, Pigeon Forge beside the Local Goat Restaurant, and diagonal from the Titanic and Wonderworks properties. Rowdy Bear Ridge will offer amazing and unique attractions to guests and their families.
Rowdy Bear Ridge of Pigeon Forge will open initially in three phases. The first phase is set to open May 2019 by featuring Tennessee's first year-round outdoor tubing park. The 500-foot tubing ridge will include a 70-foot drop as riders reach speeds up to 30 miles per hour on Rowdy Bear Tubes. The Tubing Ridge will be accessed by a moving conveyor belt and will be suited for riders 4 years of age and older. The Tubing Ridge is beautifully designed and brilliant in color. Rita’s Italian Ice
We can’t imagine a more appropriate setting for the Rita’s story to begin than the sweltering hot summer of 1984. It was then that Bob Tumolo, a former Philadelphia firefighter, started selling Italian Ice from a small porch window in Bensalem, PA. Bob and his mother, Elizabeth, created their own Italian Ice recipe, which they made fresh each day and quickly perfected the flavors and consistency of the frozen treat, adding chunks of fresh fruit to some of the flavors. With the modest goal of earning a little extra income, he named the business after his wife, RITA!
Today, Rita’s continues to grow, expand, and spread happiness everywhere it goes. Still made fresh every day with real fruit. Still refreshing. Still fun. Still delicious. Just like it was in the early days when Bob Tumolo and his mother opened the very first Rita’s in 1984.
Rita’s of Pigeon Forge is proud to be a locally owned small business, and the ultimate treat destination for families. Whether you enjoy Rita’s famous Italian Ice, award-winning Frozen Custard, our #1 treat Gelati, or another signature treat, we’re committed to providing a dose of happiness with every visit.
Real fruit. Real fresh. No place like Rita’s!
