All Aboard the Pumpkin Patch Express

All aboard for one of our favorite autumn traditions. The Peanuts gang brings fall fun to East Tennessee on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad every year. During the month of October, hop on the Great Pumpkin Patch Express for a themed, family-fun train excursion to the Great Pumpkin Patch. Make memories with your family that will last forever this fall in Pigeon Forge.

About The Excursion

The Great Pumpkin Patch Express is an excursion themed after Charles M. Schultz's "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown," a classic story known by all. While you ride, enjoy a special narration of the story on your way to the Great Pumpkin Patch. When you arrive, you'll be greeting by Charlie Brown, Lucy and Snoopy and have an opportunity for photos.

The Great Pumpkin Patch

At The Great Pumpkin Patch, enjoy a wide variety of activities during your hour and a half layover. Visitors will enjoy a coloring station, temporary tattoos, trick or treating, a bouncy house, wagon rides and campfire marshmallows. The best part: each kid will get to choose a pumpkin from the patch to bring home. Kids are encouraged to show up in costume and there are plenty of great photo opportunities throughout the excursion to take advantage of.

Classes & Fares

While everyone will enjoy the same experiences at the Great Pumpkin Patch, there are several ways to ride the train to and from. Choose between the Crown Class, which offers the most amenities, the budget-friendly Coach Class, or the Open Air Gondola that offers unobstructed views. On Fridays, the train departs at 3:30 PM. On Saturdays & Sundays, the train will depart at both 12 and 3:30 PM.

Train Classes

Arrive approximately an hour before your scheduled departure to get checked in, board the train and settle in for your adventure.
