Riverstone Resort and Spa in Pigeon Forge offers a distinctly different approach to the typical mountain getaway. Though it’s situated just minutes away from the neon lights of Parkway attractions and adjacent to the Gatlinburg Golf Course, the spa and resort at 212 Dollywood Lane is a luxurious retreat from the usual hustle and bustle of busy Pigeon Forge. Instead, Riverstone Resort and Spa draws inspiration from the neighboring hills and a beautiful peaks of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Mind, Body, & Soul
According to spa manager Emily Mathis, that’s just the way it’s supposed to be. She and her staff have created a serene environment perfect for relaxing the mind and calming the soul. And, just a few months ago, the spa at Riverstone Resort underwent an extensive transformation allowing them to grow into a state-of-the-art facility focused on the physical and emotional wellbeing of everyone who enters. “The best part of my job here is just making people feel good,” Mathis said.

Mathis said the September renovations allowed the spa at Riverstone to double in size. Now the full-service spa has the space needed to accommodate couples and large groups, making Riverstone an ideal destination for romantic weekends away, girls’ retreats, wedding parties and more. “We do a lot of couple packages,” Mathis said. These relaxing experiences allow partners to present their best self to each other and offer a relaxing, bonding experience. Some options for couples include sessions allowing massage and deep relaxation, manicures, pedicures and more.

Couples Packages
“We have some fun stuff available for Valentine’s Day,” Mathis said. She’s especially excited about a special pedicure package called Cupid’s Cupcake, which features a delectable cake-scented finish. The spa uses FarmHouse Fresh products, an award-winning line of bath and body products made from natural and naturally derived ingredients. Oprah, Elle magazine and Redbook have all given FarmHouse Fresh top honors.

Visitors to Riverstone Resort and Spa can indulge themselves with a variety of spa treatments. Mathis and 14 other skilled technicians offer everything from facials to pedicures, with a lot in between. Services include massage therapy, hand and nail treatments, body treatments, make-up artistry, waxing and much more. Mathis’s favorite spa package is The RiverStone. This signature package is a complete “head to toe treatment,” she said, and features a facial, body massage, hot stone manicure and hot stone pedicure. “When you’re finished, your skin is glowing and you’re definitely very relaxed,” she said.

In addition to the spa, Riverstone Resort features 184 breath-taking condo units. These one-to-four bedroom units are very spacious and feature a rustic, natural décor that fits seamlessly into the resort’s mountain-side theme. Condos even have lux features like natural granite countertops, fireplaces and Jacuzzi tubs in many units. Amenities in addition to the full-service spa include a fitness center and game room.
RiverstoneThe spa at Riverstone Resort and Spa isn’t just limited to condo guests. Locals and visitors alike can take advantage of the full-service day spa, even without checking in to a room. Mathis said many Riverstone clients drive in to the spa from nearby Knoxville for relaxation and retreat.
