Supporting The Smokies: 13 Ways You Can Still Experience Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg

It's not quite business as usual in the Smoky Mountains. The Coronavirus has resulted in many businesses closing or altering their services in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg in order to help stop the spread. While we all wait for normalcy to return to the Smokies, there are plenty of ways to support your favorite businesses and even visit the area virtually for some fun.

Bringing The Zoo To You

Zoo Knoxville is hosting a daily livestream on their Facebook page where they bring the zoo to you. Enjoy a talk with a different keeper every day. Keepers will give you a look at the many animals that call Zoo Knoxville home and there are even mini "assignments" to accompany the videos.

If you are able and willing to help during this difficult time, Zoo Knoxville is taking donations to help their efforts. Zoo Knoxville saves animals from extinction every day and because 86% of their funding comes from guests, a shut down presents a major challenge. For more information on how to support the Zoo, visit their website.

Ripley's Aquariums At Home

Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies is also bringing unique livestreams and educational experiences right to your living room. They will have livestreams on their Facebook page. The schedule for these along with educational materials and additional content can be found on the Ripley's Aquarium website.
