"World's First" Coaster at Rowdy Bear

Details are far and few between right now for many of the new attractions in Pigeon Forge for 2020, but especially for the new addition at Rowdy Bear Mountain. According to their Facebook page, Rowdy Bear Ridge Amuseument Park is operating on limited weekday hours in the beginning of 2020 to allow for construction on another "World's First Coaster" to begin.

Pigeon Forge Chairlift

You've seen similar attractions in Gatlinburg, but in 2020 a brand new chairlift will be popping up in Pigeon Forge. Few details have been released about this new attraction but it will be located beside Pigeon Forge Snow. Get ready to enjoy beautiful views of Pigeon Forge from high above the ground.

REI

REI will be bringing outdoor gear and equipment to the Smoky Mountains with a brand new Pigeon Forge location in 2020. An REI Co-op will open in the Tower Shops at the Mountain Mile in early spring. REI supports individuals looking to get outside with gear, courses and vacation packages for visitors.

Chicken Guy

Guy Fieri, the restauranteur you know from shows like Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and Guy's Big Bite on the Food Network is opening up his very own restaurant in Pigeon Forge. Chicken Guy will serve up all-natural chicken tenders, skewers, sandwiches, salads and over 20 house-made sauces to complete your dish.

Blue Mist Mountain Resort

Blue Mist Mountain Resort will bring a little extra luxury to the Smoky Mountains in 2020. It will have over 210 hotel rooms, 200 town homes and 40 vacation residences for visitors. The highlight of this new lodging option will be the first Nordic spa in the area. Nordic spas bring guests through 3 phases- sweating it out in a sauna, plunging into a cold pool and then rest and relaxation. The resort will also have restaurants and 50,000 square feet of banquet and meeting spaces.

Tower Shops

In 2020, The Tower Shops at the Mountain Mile will fill up with retail shops, beer & wine tasting shops and more. Junction 35 has already opened up in the Mountain Mile's shopping center. In early 2020, major outdoor retailer REI will call the Tower Shops home as well. There will even be a tasting room by Currahee Vineyards, bringing hand-crafter Georgia wines to the Smoky Mountains.

Buzzed Bull Creamery

Boozy dessert... need we say more? Buzzed Bull Creamery will bring both alcohol inflused and non alcohol infused ice creams and milkshakes to Pigeon Forge. The ice cream at this shop is frozen in liquid nitrogen, then served smoothe to customers. Milkshakes are custom and made to order so you can have it your way. There's an extensive list of alcohol and toppings to choose from so you can mix it up every time.

Double Decker Bus Tours

Double Decker Bus Tours opened up in the very last days of 2019 and brings an entirely new experience to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville. The double decker busses you see driving the Parkway come from Europe, so the driver is on the wrong side of the vehicle! They have hop on hop off options so you can visit your favorite attractions on your own time at a low price all day long, or single ride tickets for $5 to get you where you need to go.

Ruby Sunshine

Ruby Sunshine is a New Orleans style breakfast and brunch spot with successful locations open in Tennessee, Alabama and North Carolina. Their Gatlinburg location will open in 2020 and serve up cocktails, eggs, omelets, benedicts, sandwiches, and specialties like shrimp & grits, pancakes, french toast and more. When it opens, it'll be a must-try on your trip to the Smoky Mountains.
