Great View and Location.
First, I did not consider the internet service in my rating. To be fair, they did say it was spotty, however, if you like to have functional internet, this is not the place for you. We run an online business and should have taken that more into consideration than we did. I figured it would be slow, but we couldn't get pages to load. If you, like us, like to look up things to do in the area, plan on staying up way late or getting up way early to have a chance at functional internet.
Now to the good stuff...the view was amazing and it was relaxing to sit on the deck with a cup of coffee every morning. We enjoyed the game room (mostly the kids), and it kept them entertained when they weren't thinking that their lives were being ruined by not being able to be on their phones.
We didn't do much cooking, but there are plenty of plates, cups, bowls and utensils for what meals we did have in the cabin.
The cabin is about 25-30 minutes from Pigeon Forge, but the drive is nice. There are some local shops close by, but if you need groceries, plan on going to town. There is a Publix and Kroger on the edge of town, so you don't have to get into traffic.
Although very nice, the cabin and furnishings are showing signs of age. There was a rip in a cushion on the downstairs couch and the clock in the loft was broken, but it didn't affect our enjoyment of the cabin.
There was plenty of room for all 5 of us and it is rare that we can stay somewhere that all the kids get their own bed, so that was really nice.
We did have some minor bug issues, so maybe it had been a while since it was sprayed. Probably 4-5 roaches met their end by shoe.
Overall, a great place to stay, but when we come to the area in the future, we will have to find something different, only because of the internet service.
